ABOUT:
Each fall and spring the Maya Gold Foundation offers a public event to the Hudson Valley Community. The events are focused on issues affecting teens and families today. In the spring of 2018, we presented “13 Reasons Why NOT” to over 75 local youth and adults. The performance was developed for and by local youth in response to the Netflix series, “Thirteen Reasons Why”, and offered stories of adversity, perseverance and resiliency. In the fall of 2018, we presented “The Setup: Honest Talk About Tough Issues”, with Charis Denison. We reached over 100 young people and adults through two evening talks. These events, like all Community Programs events, are offered at no cost to the community, and funded entirely by donations and sponsors.

“I am so honored to know The Maya Gold Foundation and of their incredible work supporting and growing youth. Inspired by Maya, this organization has grown and blossomed and made a huge impact in the lives of the youth that it serves. I cannot say enough good things about the ethics and integrity of this organization and would encourage all that are interested to support it in every way possible. Maya’s dream lives on…”
